"I've stayed in the tradition and they've (Black American musicians) evolved in
exile. It's very important that these musicians go back to Africa to see where the
music comes from, because in that way they'll find their origins, the roots of their
music.'' -- African bluesman Ali Farka Toure was a two-time Grammy winner
hailed as Africa's finest guitarist. Also a gifted singer, Toure often spoke of the
African origins of the blues, which his career embodied. Toure, believed to be 67,
made his transition on March 7, 2006. RIP, Ali. Click the photo for an informative
